Biography

SOPHOMORE (2022): Made six appearances in relief… struck out an opposing hitter in four of his appearances… pitched one scoreless inning in relief against Southern Illinois on March 1, with one strikeout and no hits allowed…. Had another scoreless and hitless inning against Butler on March 13.

FRESHMAN (2021): Appeared in seven contests as a relief pitcher... pieced together 7.0 innings pitched and five strikeouts... secured a win versus Oral Roberts (April 2).

HIGH SCHOOL: Played baseball at Waubonsie Valley… played summer ball for Kane County Crush… junior season hit .330 with three home runs… had 19 RBI… scored 21 times… knocked 35 hits. 

PERSONAL: Born June 18, 2002… son of Greg and Jenny Jaynes… brother Ben played baseball at Aurora… favorite memory was hitting a game-tying home run and a go-ahead grand slam against Naperville Central… hobbies include fishing, video games and basketball… plans to major in nursing.
