Biography

2021: Started 13 of 14 games played... registed 42 at-bats and six hits... notched his first collegiate multi-hit game at Omaha (May 1).

FRESHMAN (2020): Made eight starts and appeared in nine games… recorded the first hit of the season and collegiate in season opener at Tennessee (Feb. 14)... threw out seven runners... had five straight games with a walk. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Collected five varsity letters at Grinnell… started as an 8th grader… also earned three letters in basketball… holds school records in games played and doubles… set single-game strikeout record with 15… second all-time in home runs and walks… third in wins as a pitcher and RBI... named All-State and All-State Writers Association his junior year… was All-Conference and District his sophomore season… named to honor roll three years in a row. 

PERSONAL: Born June 24, 2000… son of Patty and Jamey Gibson… choose Western because “It felt at home the first time I stepped foot on campus. It is a place where I can grow as a person and become the best baseball player I can be.”... most memorable sports moment was “our high school baseball team beat Knoxville in 11 innings by a walk on a suicide squeeze to win the District championship at home in front of our fans this past year.”... most significant influence in his sports career is “The Iowa sticks organization. They have done so much for me as a person and a baseball player. I could not have been where I am today without them. My family also because they have been very supportive over the years of travel.”... hobbies include working out and spending time with family… majoring in Business
