Biography

At Western Illinois
2012 (Senior): Appeared in 16 games and made eight starts... allowed four runs on seven hits in 5.0 innings at Georgia State, but came away with a no decision... earned win with 3.0 hitless innings of relief against Maryland Eastern Shore... walked three and struck out two batters... pitched 1.1 innings in game two of the Georgia series, allowing 1 run on 2 hits... suffered the loss following a walk-off hit... tossed 1.1 innings at WKU on Friday and allowed five runs on two hits... tossed 1.2 IP of scoreless baseball vs. Air Force... picked up a three-inning save on Saturday and only allowed one hit... closed the win over Bradley with three scoreless innings and picked up the win while collecting three punchouts... tossed 1.2 against St. Ambrose and did not allow a run, and has not allowed a 9.1 innings... started game four vs. SUU and went 6.1 innings with two unearned runs and five punchouts... picked up the win in game two on Sunday with a complete game, season-high seven innings with seven strikeouts... went all six innings in game two of the DH on Saturday at ORU and allowed just four hits and two earned runs but got the loss... went  a season-high 8.0 innings on 4/27 at Oakland and allowed two earned runs with six strikeouts but was the losing pitcher... pitched his third complete game of the season on 5/11 with one run allowed and five Ks in a losing effort... allowed six earned runs in 3,2 innings with one walk at South Dakota State on 5/17.

2011 (Junior): Collected five quality starts... finished with a 4.21 ERA (sixth in Summit League) and a 6-7 record... struck out 80 hitters (fourth in Summit League, sixth all-time in program history) in his 102.2 innings of work (second in Summit League, third all-time in program history)... against Kansas State went 7.0 innings and struck out three... also went 7.0 innings at Indiana State and just allowed one run and set down six Sycamores via strikeout... recorded seven K's on five innings before the game at Missouri State before it was suspended due to rain... picked up the victory over the Iowa and went 8.1 innings... pitched 6.2 innings and allowed two earned runs at Bradley... went 8.0 innings and struck out six vs. South Dakota State on April 8... picked up his first complete game against Oral Roberts to open that series....  collected a career best nine strikeouts against IPFW... picked up his third complete game against Centenary... led The Summit League in batters struck out looking (33) and seventh in opponents batting average (.265).

All-Conference (2010)...All-Conference honorable mention (2009)... All-Region...All-time wins leader... All-time strikeout leader...As a freshman he tossed 69.1 innings while striking out 58 batters...Finished season with a 4.80 ERA and a 6-3 record... As a sophomore he struck out 90 batters in 92.1 innings... Finished with a 7-5 record and a 4.77 ERA.
