Biography

SENIOR (2017): Played in 39 games and started 27 times... batted .225 with six doubles... 17 runs scored and 10 RBI... stole 8-9 bases... played in three games the opening weekend with a start... recorded a hit in two of the three games, including a pinch-hit single in the ninth at Mississippi State... two hits, two runs scored (matched career-high), two stolen bases (matched career-high) and set a career-high with three RBI in the Omaha opener.

JUNIOR (2016): Started in 25 of his 31 games played... four doubles, six runs scored and 11 RBI... tied for the team lead with nine stolen bases... 10 walks... .294 batting average, jumping nearly 160 points over the final month of the season... started twice in the Tennessee Tech series in center field... started in all three games versus North Dakota State, batting .429 and a run scored... season-highs of four hits and five RBI in the win at NDSU with a run scored, walk and stolen base... turned in another 4-hit game in the series opener at South Dakota State, finishing 5-for-10 at the plate with a walk and hit by pitch (.583 on-base percentage)... went 4-for-5 in stolen bases... had a RBI, hit and stolen base at Iowa... recorded a 2-run double in game two at home versus Omaha... 3-for-9 with a double at Fort Wayne.

AT LINCOLN TRAIL COLLEGE: Two-year member of the program... hit .373 as a freshman with four stolen bases... hit .247 his sophomore year and stole 24 bases... won conference championship his sophomore year... received the executive academic award with a 4.0 GPA... played for coach Kevin Bowers.

HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in baseball... played for coach Jon Donavan.

PERSONAL: Son of John Church and Monica Carico... his mom played softball at Eastern Illinois and his dad played baseball at Danville CC... two siblings, including a sister Carson who plays softball at Parkland College... born September 2, 1994.
