2010 Summit League Winter/Spring Academic All-League Selection
2010 (SOPHOMORE): Did not allow a run in eight of his 13 appearances... tossed a career-high four innings in relief at Centenary (4/18)... did not allow a walk in his first seven appearances... picked up his first career win in the regular season finale at SDSU (5/22, 3.1 IP, 4 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 0 BB, 1 SO).
2009 (FRESHMAN): Made eight relief appearances... struck out a season-high three batters in 1.2 innings against Medaille College... struck out one batter in game against: Oklahoma (1.1 IP), Oklahoma State (1.2 IP) and Eureka (0.1 IP)... was a scout team member of the football team before concentrating on his baseball career.
HIGH SCHOOL: Helped his high school team to a 46-6 record over his final two years, including a FHSAA Class 6A Quarterfinal appearance... threw a perfect game and on two other occasions tossed a 1-hitter... finished with a 2.60 ERA with 42 strikeouts and 18 walks in 72 innings... also a standout football player, earning Florida Today All-Space Coast Tight End of the Year honors... All-District... started at tight end and defensive end for three seasons while also serving as the long snapper... participated in the Central Florida East-West All-Star game at tight end and on special teams... was also selected to the Brevard County North-South All-Star Game... totaled 45 catches for 10 touchdowns and more than 500 yards in his three-year career... helped Melbourne to 2007 and 2008 district titles... earned the school's award for the top wide receiver... played for coach Todd Wilson.
PERSONAL: Son of Diane Angus and Gerry Duguay... born Sept. 20, 1989, in Melbourne, Florida... most admires coaches Todd Wilson and Gus Felder, "They were my high school coaches during my senior year. They challenged my skills and my maturity not only as a player but as a person and prepared me for the college level... enjoys sports, the beach, music, roller coasters, training and spending time with family and friends.
