Biography
Mike Pendergast joined the Western Illinois athletic training staff in 1977 as a graduate assistant before being promoted to head athletic trainer in 1978. Pendergast serves as the head athletic trainer for the Leatherneck football team and oversees the student athletic training staff for Western's other 19 athletic teams.
Pendergast is certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) and serves as the Director of Sports Medicine for the WIU sports camps and also works in coordination with the St. Louis Rams during their summer training camp.
The Fargo, N.D., native received his B.S. degree from North Dakota State in 1975 and his M.S. from Western Illinois in 1982.
