Biography
Amanda Damm enters her second year as graduate assistant for marketing and promotions with Western Illinois Intercollegiate Athletics. As a graduate assistant, she is responsible for developing and implementing marketing plans for Western’s sport programs, including in-game promotions, managing student and child fan groups, as well as web and print advertisements and flyers.
Before coming to Western, Damm served one year as the sports marketing intern for gymnastics for the Sacramento State Athletics Department. She also served on the ticket staff and was a student assistant for the Stinger Athletic Association. From 2005-08, she participated in the Sacramento State Women’s Rugby Club.
Damm graduated Summa Cum Laude from California State University, Sacramento in May 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology.
In fall 2009, she became the Western Illinois Sport Management Club Vice President. She currently holds memberships with the Golden Key International Honor Society and the North American Society for Sport Management. The Mariposa, Calif., native is pursuing a master’s degree in sport management at Western Illinois.
