Biography

2018 (JUNIOR): Played in 69 sets… had 65 kills to make a total of 199 attacks… had four digs and 39 block assists… she also recorded one ace against North Dakota State (Oct. 5th).

2017 (SOPHOMORE): Appeared in 13 matches while starting two… recorded a season-high eight kills against South Dakota State on Oct. 6… tallied 19 kills and 14 total blocks in 2017… saw action in four sets against South Dakota State

2016 (FRESHMAN): Appeared in 27 matches, 87 sets and made 25 starts as a freshman... Led the team with 62 blocks, nine solo and 53 assisted... Set a career-high seven blocks against Weber State... Also ranked fourth on the team with 115 kills... Had a career-high 12 kills against Eastern Illinois and hit .500 against Oral Roberts.

HIGH SCHOOL: Schumacher was named team captain and MVP as a senior and was a two-time varsity letterman. The middle hitter was named to the 2016 JVA Watch List, which recognizes JVA member club players for outstanding achievement on the volleyball court. Schumacher was a member of the Fusion Volleyball Club where she played on the top team in each of the last four seasons.
 
PERSONAL: Daughter of Brad & Dana Schumacher and Virginia Harshman… majoring in education… chose Western because, "Western has a great campus that is close to my hometown, and has a strong education program that is perfect for my major. When I visited and met with Coach Brown & Coach Richardson I immediately knew that these were coaches that I wanted to work hard for. I am so excited to get the season started, and join the Leatherneck volleyball family."
