MEN’S BASKETBALL
Who we are: The 2022-23 season marked the best year for the program in a decade. Finishing with a 16-14 record, the Leathernecks spent time in second place in the Summit League late in the season, and were a four-seed in the Summit League Tournament, ultimately falling to St. Thomas. The 2022-23 season also marked the first time the Leathernecks defeated North Dakota State, North Dakota, South Dakota State and South Dakota at home in the same season.
Why we are raising funds: We are raising funds to continue ongoing renovations to our men’s basketball locker room. Strides have been made in refurbishing the team’s locker room, yet more opportunity for improvement remains. The team spends a large amount of time in the locker room, so it’s important that it serves as a room that is functional in terms of watching film and preparing for practice, and also a room that our team takes pride in.
How you can help: With your help, we can make sure our men’s basketball team has the best resources possible to compete for conference championships here at Western Illinois. All gifts made in support of our crowdfunding campaign are tax-deductible and count for Leatherneck Club credit. Any amount helps and goes a long way toward completing our locker room renovations!
