2022-2023 Leatherneck Cheerleading Tryouts
Tryouts for the 2022-2023 cheerleading team will be held June 4 and 5 from 9 a.m.–7 p.m., at the Brophy Hall gym.
Candidates are only required to attend one tryout date.
Tryouts will consist of learning required material taught during tryouts, tumbling, stunting and jumps. Candidates will be evaluated on motions, tumbling, stunts, overall personality, and crowd engagement. Leatherneck cheerleading will choose the best all-around representatives for Western Illinois University.
All applicants must complete the following and submit via email to Coach Cremer, cheerleading@wiu.edu by Tuesday, May 31.
All applicants must reserve their tryout spot in advance, day of applicants will not be accepted.
1. Tryout application; If the applicant is under the age of 18 must be signed by a parent/guardian
2. Proof of full-time enrollment (12 hrs) at WIU; Transfer or incoming freshman proof of acceptance to WIU
3. Waiver
4. Copy of insurance (front & back)
5. Proof of GPA
6. Copy of physical exam from the past 3 months
