CONNECKS is an organized field day that combines individuals with special needs throughout the community with Western Illinois Universiy Fighting Leathernecks athletic teams. The WIU student-athletes look to impact the participants by combining motor skills with social interactions to promote the learning of sports.
In this special day, Leatherneck athletes develop a heartfelt interaction by positively instructing the participants through various skills, drills and games. INCOMING EVENT:

Where: Behind WIU Tennis Courts on the campus of WIU next to Brophy Hall
Join Western Illinois Leatherneck student-athletes in a day full of FUN! Participants enjoy music, play games, receive a FREE lunch, a Leatherneck gift bag with a FREE shirt, and most importantly, many Leatherneck connections and memories that will last a lifetime!
There will be a Western Illinois baseball game immediately following the event, and all are welcome to stay for the game. All participants will receive special access prior to the game. Don’t miss out on this dashing good time!

We had approximately 20 participants and almost 100 Student-Athletes participate in the event!
