2011 (SENIOR): Pitched 2.1 scoreless innings at
Kansas State and did not allow a hit... made 17 appearances and thrown 20.2
innings so far this season... pitched 2.0 innings at Oakland on April 22 and
did not allow an earned run... did not allow a run in 0.2 of an inning at
Southern Utah... tossed the final inning at IPFW on May 7 and did not allow a
hit and struck out one hitter... has not allowed a run in his last five outings,
spanning 5.2 innings... finished with the lowest ERA on the team at 2.18.
2010 (JUNIOR): Appeared in 15 games and
made three starts... tossed one scoreless inning in his first career appearance
at Furman (2/27, 1.0 IP, 1 H, 1 BB)... set a career high with three strikeouts at
Saint Louis (3/3)... pitched a career-high 5.1 innings in relief at Bradley (4/14,
5.1 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 2 SO)... made his first career start against IPFW
(4/18, 4.0 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 3 BB, 3 SO)... tossed 2.1 scoreless innings
against Southern Utah (5/14, 2.1 IP, 2 H, 1 BB, 2 SO).
AT COLLEGE OF LAKE COUNTY: Two-time All-Skyway
Conference selection... received the 'Defensive Rookie of the Year' award...
selected as a member of the Skyway All-Star team... earned Academic Honor Roll
honors... team won the 2009 Skyway Conference and Region IV championship... posted
a 9-5 record and 3.30 ERA during his two-year career as a starting pitcher...
struck out 22 batters to four walks allowed in 24 innings his sophomore year...
started and earned the win in the Regional Championship game, striking out
seven in six innings of work.
HIGH
SCHOOL: Lettered in baseball and basketball... played baseball for coach Bill
Sliker... four-year member of the Honor Roll... two-time North Suburban
All-Conference honors... earned All-Area honors his senior year by the Daily Herald and Lake County Journal... selected to participate in the area's Hitting
Derby... Honorary Captain Award his final two seasons... twice led the team in
hitting... inducted into the program's Wall of Fame.
PERSONAL: Son of Steve and Pam Pedersen... born June 6, 1989 in
Wauconda... his father was a 1976 Olympic qualifier for cycling and speed
skating... high school teammate of current Leatherneck Rich Mascheri... in the
summer of 2007 pitched for the Kenosha Indians and led the team in strikeouts... No.
1 sports highlight was pitching in San Diego for the summer and during his high
school career hit a 3-run walk-off home run in the bottom of the seventh to
defeat conference rival Mundelein HS... his father has been a major influence,
"He was an Olympic qualifier."... enjoys water sports, baseball and playing the
guitar... favorite professional team is the Chicago Cubs
