Senior (2013): Made 17 appearances during the season… season debut on 2/24 at Arkansas State... threw 2.0 innings on 3/1 vs. Wichita State... threw 1.0 inning on 3/13 at Saint Louis with one strikeout... threw 0.2 innings on 3/16 at Missouri State with one strikeout… 1.2 innings of work on 3/31 with three strikeouts at Illinois-Chicago… from 4/21 to 5/11 made six relief appearances totaling 10.2 innings with 17 strikeouts… first career save came on 4/26 at Fort Wayne after throwing 2.0 innings with four K’s… 1.0 inning pitched on 5/16 and 5/25 with one strikeout in each outing… ended the season with 27 strikeouts in 20.0 innings of work, a 12.15 K’s per nine average… also allowed just two earned runs on the year for a 0.90 ERA.

Junior (2012): Appeared in two games... in his debut walked two batters and gave up three unearned runs at Georgia State... pitched 0.1 of an inning vs. Xavier on 3/23 while walking one.

Southeastern CC: Threw 31.1 innings in eight games and finished with a 3.73 ERA in 2011... struck out 32 hitters on his way to a 3-2 record.

High School: 2010 State MVP of American Legion Baseball... Regional Championship team in 2008 and 2009... 2010 State and Regional Legion Champions.

Personal: Son of Jeff and Lynn Welvaert... born February 2, 1991... majoring in Recreation, Park and Tourism Administration with a minor in Coaching.
