Biography
JUNIOR (2022): Started each of the team’s 17 games, playing a total of 1,372 minutes… recorded an assist against South Dakota on Oct. 7 and scored her first goal of the season two days later against South Dakota State on Oct. 9… added a two-goal performance in a 3-1 victory over St. Thomas on Oct. 23, the first multi-goal performance of her career… finished second on the team in total points (7) and fifth in minutes played.
SOPHOMORE (2021): Made 18 appearances (18 starts), playing 1,520 minutes… recorded an assist against Illinois State on Aug. 26… scored her only goal of the season against Oral Roberts on Oct. 24 off a direct free kick… helped the Leatherneck defense record three shutouts… finished the year with nine shots (five on goal).
FRESHMAN (Spring 2021): Started all 16 games… fourth on the team in minutes (1,399)... played all 90 minutes or more 11 times… had six shots with two on goal… three straight games with a shot.
HIGH SCHOOL: Collected four varsity letters in soccer… earned Second Team All-State… named to First Team All-Metro, Conference and District… led team to best record in school history at 14-2.
PERSONAL: Born November 23, 2001… daughter of Scott and Melanie Knies… choose Western since “when I came on my visit everyone really made it feel like home. It also seemed like a place that would challenge me academically as well as athletically”... most memorable sports moment was giving her high school their first conference championship banner in girls soccer… cites coaches at High Definition Soccer as major influence… “Both coaches have pushed me harder than anyone and have made me believe in my ability. They are wonderful coaches and have developed me in to a better leader on and off the field”... hobbies include listening to music, baking, traveling and working out… plans to major in business management
