Biography

JUNIOR (2022): Made six appearances, including one start. Tossed 10.2 inninings with an ERA of 16.87 and a WHIP of 3.00. Struck out nine batters while walking eight… Allowed 24 hits and 22 runs… Threw four innings of relief against North Dakota State on April 1.
 
2021 (FRESHMAN): Appeared on the mound nine times in his first collegiate season, making four starts... pitched 5.0 innings versus South Dakota State (March 26)... struck out three batters at North Dakota State (April 10)... ended the spring with 17 strikeouts.

HIGH SCHOOL: Earned three varsity letters in baseball and basketball at Rochelle Township… tossed a no-hitter with 15 strikeouts… went 7-1 with 100 total K’s in 58 innings with a 1.40 ERA… named All-Conference 1st team in baseball and basketball in his junior year. 

PERSONAL: Born Feb. 4, 2001… son of Barb and John Beck… choose Western because he likes the feel of the town and similar to where he grew up… most memorable sports moment was winning the Conference Championship… father is his biggest influence in sports since “he has always pushed me to have a strong work ethic and to be smart on and off the field.”... hobbies include fishing and playing basketball.
