JUNIOR (2021): 2021 Summit League Preseason Player to Watch... again was a dependable starter... third on the team in kills (186) and fourth in digs (208)... racked up six matches in league play with double-digit digs... stepped up on defense as the year went on, posting 22 digs at North Dakota (Oct. 28)... tied her career-high in kills (14) versus North Dakota (Oct. 2).

SOPHOMORE (2020-21): Played a heavy starter role in her second season ... finished second in kills (134) and points scored (150.0) for Western ... stood out defensively, ending third in team digs (147) ... tied her career-high in kills (14) versus Oral Roberts (Feb. 8) ... achieved a new career-high in digs (24) during that same Oral Roberts matchup.

FRESHMAN (2019): During her first year as a Leatherneck, Putman played in all 29 matches… she totaled 155 kills and 208 digs.

HIGH SCHOOL: Putman comes from Wilton High School in Wilton, Iowa, and played at the club level for the Iowa Rockets. She was a four-time letter winner in volleyball and basketball. She also participated in track and softball for two years. She set two school records for her high school with 1,563 career kills and 28 kills in a single match. The outside hitter was named the Muscatine Journal Player of the Year during her sophomore and senior seasons. Putman was named All-Conference and All-District all four years, as well as All-State her junior and senior season. Her senior year she received the Salute to Academics & Achievements Leadership Award and the Citizenship Award.

WHY SHE CHOSE WESTERN: “I chose Western because of the size, it felt like home, but still offered me a challenge. The distance was my other reason because it allowed me to continue playing the sport I love while only being two hours away from my family.”
