Biography

REDSHIRT-FRESHMAN (2018): Appeared in two games in relief … pitched 1/3 of an inning at Murray State (Feb. 26) and Illinois State (March 27) … yielded no hits or runs vs. the Racers

FRESHMAN (2017): Redshirted

HIGH SCHOOL: Six-time letterwinner in baseball (3), football (2) and basketball (1). He posted a career 2.35 ERA and batted .295. Last summer playing with the Indiana Nitro Poiry went 5-0 with a save and recorded 29 strikeouts in 35 innings. He earned Honorable Mention All-America Jr/Sr honors by Perfect Game, and was ranked No. 44 in the 2016 class by Prep Baseball Report.

PERSONAL: Son of Randy and Rhonda Poiry. He was coached in high school by Scott Henson and in the Indiana Nitro by Eric Osborn and Mike Early.
