Biography

SENIOR (2014-15): 2015 Summit League Spring Academic Honor Roll, Distinguished Scholar.

JUNIOR (2013-14): Earned Honorable Mention All-Summit League honors... named to the Summit League All-Newcomer Team... selected Fourth Team All-Summit League by College Sports Madness... her field-goal percentage (52.6 percent) ranks sixth in program history... also ranks fifth all-time with 1,008 minutes played... started all 30 games... finished third on the team in scoring (13.5 ppg), second in rebounding (5.7 rpg), third in steals (62) and fourth in assists (74)... scored a career-high 31 points on 13-of-15 shooting against St. Francis (Jan. 8)... posted her first career double-double against Saint Louis (Nov. 30), totaling 14 points and 10 rebounds... scored in double figures in 24 of the 30 games, including nine straight to end the season... in the calendar year 2014, Niemann shot 59.6 percent (96-of-161) from the field and 51.6 percent (16-of-31) from beyond the arc as she averaged 14.5 ppg.

JUNIOR (2012-13): Sat out the season to meet transfer requirements.

Transferred to Western during the 2012-13 offseason and will have two years of eligibility remaining beginning in 2013-14.

AT MISSOURI: Played in 34 career games during her two-year career.

HIGH SCHOOL: Four-year starter for coach (and Leatherneck current associate head coach) Seth Minter... three-time All-State selection... averaged 19.2 points and 9.1 rebounds during her prep career... helped her team compile a 98-17 record during her four years... KHQA-TV 'Player of the Year' for the 2008-09 season... McDonalds All-America nominee in 2010... voted by WGEM SportsCenter and Honda/Hyundai's Jason Deters Prep Athlete of the Year... during her senior year averaged 23.2 points, 11 rebounds, 3.5 steals and 3.0 assists while shooting 59 percent from the field... four-time All-State selection in track... final two years of softball earned First Team All-State honors... finished with a 4.0 cumulative grade point average and was class Salutatorian.

PERSONAL: Volunteered in Special Olympics... No. 1 sports highlight was getting her 2,000th career point and 1,000th career rebound her senior year... her parents have been a major influence, "They've supported me in all my sports my entire life. They have been there for all those wins and losses, and have taught me to work hard and be the best I can be."... her dad played baseball at Benedictine College and in the Kansas City Royals farm system, and her mom played basketball at Culver Stockton... daughter of Tom and Meleia Niemann... favorite professional team is the Los Angeles Lakers... favorite musician is Beyonce.

MAJOR: Graduated in December, 2013 with a major in Journalism. Currently pursuing a master's degree in Sport Management.
