Andy Ryan completed his first season as an assistant men's soccer coach following a standout career as a Leatherneck goalkeeper.
In his first year as an assistant coach, Ryan guided goalie Yves Dietrich to an impressive 1.17 goals against average, eighth-best in program history, and .776 save percentage in Dietrich's first year as a Leatherneck. Ryan helped Dietrich improve throughout the year, culminating in a stretch of a five-game span in which Dietrich went 4-0-1 at the end of the regular season and in the conference tournament. The 2012 Summit League title was Ryan's first as an assistant coach after winning two as a player.

2009: Appeared in three matches and made two starts...Posted a 2-1-0 record along with a 1.60 goals against average and an .826 save percentage in 225:00 minutes...Named to the Summit League Fall Academic All-League Team.
2008: Played five matches in the net, starting three times...Recorded two shutouts...Made nine saves and allowed one goal...Recorded a goals against average of .24 in 367 minutes of action...Named to the Summit League Fall Academic All-League Team.Â
