Andy Ryan completed his first season as an assistant men's soccer coach following a standout career as a Leatherneck goalkeeper.
In his first year as an assistant coach, Ryan guided goalie Yves Dietrich to an impressive 1.17 goals against average, eighth-best in program history, and .776 save percentage in Dietrich's first year as a Leatherneck. Ryan helped Dietrich improve throughout the year, culminating in a stretch of a five-game span in which Dietrich went 4-0-1 at the end of the regular season and in the conference tournament. The 2012 Summit League title was Ryan's first as an assistant coach after winning two as a player.
2011: Started 20 of the Leathernecks 21 matches in net...The only match he did not start was the season opener due to injury...Team captain...Owner of an overall 13-6-1 mark...Recorded a total of 95 saves, a .826 save percentage and 0.98 goals per game average...Was named to the 2011 All-Summit League First Team...Ryan was named Summit League 'Defensive Player of the Week' for four times in 2011...Ryan was named SoccerSavings.com/Chicagoland Soccer News 'Men's College Player of the Week' on October 3rd for the week prior...Finished atop of nearly all goalkeeper categories in the Summit League...He also ranked nationally in multiple categories.

2009: Appeared in three matches and made two starts...Posted a 2-1-0 record along with a 1.60 goals against average and an .826 save percentage in 225:00 minutes...Named to the Summit League Fall Academic All-League Team.
2008: Played five matches in the net, starting three times...Recorded two shutouts...Made nine saves and allowed one goal...Recorded a goals against average of .24 in 367 minutes of action...Named to the Summit League Fall Academic All-League Team.Â
