MACOMB, IL - The Western Illinois Volleyball team opens up conference play this weekend, with games against SEMO on September 25th at 6pm, and September 26th at 2pm.
The Leathernecks are starting OVC play with a 0-10 record, but are hoping that the start of conference play can help turn the season around.
SCOUTING SEMO
SEMO comes into this weekend with a 7-6 record, and going 5-1 in their last six matches. They started off the season very slow, losing their first three matches, with two against Western Kentucky and one against Oregon.Â
The Redhawks are led on the season by Reagan Nelson in kills with 175, followed by Lucy Arndt with 164. Megan Holder is the assists leader for SEMO, with Ellie Burns also having over 150 assists. Reagan Nelson is also the aces and digs leader for SEMO, with 3 other Redhawks having over 100 digs. Alaina Lester has 34 blocks on the season for the Redhawks, which is their team leader.
Both games will be streamed on ESPN+
