Western Illinois had a few opportunities to get on the board, putting runners on in the third, fourth, and seventh innings, but was unable to score.
On the mound, Brett Buchanan got the start for the Leathernecks, allowing five runs. Karsten Stotlar, Eric Rawlings, Dylan Kaminski, and William Humphrey all combined in relief.
