MACOMB, Ill. - The Western Illinois women's basketball team will gather with fans, family, and the Leatherneck community on Sunday evening to learn its postseason destination as the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament bracket is revealed.

Fresh off capturing the 2026 Ohio Valley Conference Tournament Championship, the Leathernecks will host a Selection Sunday watch party in Western Hall as they await their placement in the NCAA Tournament field. The event will begin at 6 p.m., with the NCAA Selection Show scheduled to air at 7 p.m. on ESPN.

Western Illinois secured its spot in the NCAA Tournament after an impressive run through the conference tournament, highlighted by strong performances from the Leathernecks throughout the week. The championship victory marked another milestone for the program and secured the team's automatic punch into the national tournament.
