Box Score

Macomb,IL - The Western Illinois men's soccer team dropped a 3–0 decision on the road Sunday night against Kansas City.

The Roos applied consistent offensive pressure throughout the match, out shooting the Leathernecks 18–3 and placing eight shots on goal. Kansas City found the back of the net three times and tallied three assists on the evening, showcasing a well-connected attack.

Both sides played physically, combining for 26 fouls and a yellow card apiece. Kansas City also held the edge in corner kicks (6–1) and offsides (3–1).

Goalkeeper Micah Ramirez made five saves to help keep WIU within striking distance. Defender August Jacus and forward Diego Porras each recorded a shot attempt, while defender Guillaume Brunet registered the Leathernecks' lone shot on goal in the first half. And Sophomore forward Benjamin Graham came off the bench to provide energy in the attack, notching a shot on goal in his 56 minutes of play. Western moves to 2-7 on the season.
