MACOMB, Ill. – Signing Day proved to be a big day for the Western Illinois football program as the Leathernecks added six new student-athletes to the roster for the upcoming fall season.
"We are excited to welcome our newest high school signees to the WIU Football Family. We purposely held on to some scholarships and roster spots knowing there would be some high level players available as we approached the 2nd signing period" WIU coach Joe Davis said. "While this group has impressive football credentials, we are most proud of the fact that the entirety of our high school class has a cumulative GPA of 3.47. We are adding excellent students to our football program! We're looking forward to celebrating this class today with our National Signing Day live event at Sports Corner at 5pm!"
All student-athletes enter the 2025 fall semester as true freshmen.

Lucas Siamashvili is a multi-sport athlete coming out of Hawthorn Woods, Illinois. Siamashvili is the first ever D1 football player to come from the country of Georgia.
Donpaul Keith | Defensive Back | 6-2 | 179 | Freshman | Taylor, Michigan | River Rouge High School
A 2 Star prospect as rated by 247sports.com, Donpaul Keith is a multi-sport athlete coming out of Taylor, Michigan. Keith became the rookie of the year for boys varsity track in 2024, and holds the 4x1 school track record. On the football side, Donpaul earned All-Region during his 2023 season recording 37 tackles, three of which were for a loss, along with 10 pass break-ups, two interceptions, and one forced fumble.

During his Junior year, Joel Salien recorded 36 receptions for six touchdowns, totaling 496 yards. During his senior year, he recorded 19 receptions for six touchdowns, totaling 368 yards.
Tommy Lamberti | Offensive Lineman | 6-8 | 300 | Freshman | Vernon Hills, Illinois | Carmel Catholic High School
A 3 Star prospect by 247sports.com, multi-sport OL Tommy Lamberti earned himself the underclassman of the year award his freshman year, and earned All Conference honors. A three year starter and captain his senior year, Lamberti finished school as not only a High Honor Roll student but he was also inducted into the National Honor Society.

Jamesly Jean Louis is a multisport athlete coming out of Immokalee, Florida. Louis Participated in the FACA All-Star game his senior year of high school.

A 2 Star Prospect as rated by 247sports.com, Buckner was named first Team all conference, and first Team all academic during his junior year. Buckner did not turn back his senior year earning himself first team all conference, first team all area, first team all academic, IHSFCA 8A 1st team All-State and Lawless player of the year in the CCL-ESCC.
