MACOMB, IL - Senior linebacker Christian Pierce has been named to the OVC-Big South All-Academic Team, recognizing his excellence both on the field and in the classroom.

A transfer from the University of Delaware, Pierce graduated with a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences with a 3.75 GPA and was a three-time member of the CAA Football Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll. He is now pursuing a master's degree in Public Health Sciences at Western Illinois University, where he holds a 3.54 GPA.

Pierce served as a team captain and a key defensive leader for the Leathernecks. He has recorded 100 total tackles this season along with 13.5 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks. He set a new season high with 13 tackles against SEMO. His selection to the All-Academic Team highlights his commitment to success on and off the field.
