Western Illinois is coming off back-to-back wins against Tennessee State at Western Hall. The Leathernecks opened the weekend with a five-set victory, taking the match behind a strong night from Hillary Estes, who totaled 15 kills and five blocks, and Keyana Cruse, who added 13 kills and 16 digs. WIU followed that performance with a straight-set sweep of the Tigers the next afternoon, hitting .330 as a team while posting 11 total blocks. Estes again led the way with eight kills and eight blocks, while Cruse finished with eight kills and 16 digs. Karlie Lane added four service aces and 12 digs, and setters Madelyn Norton and Jaleah Bauss combined for 31 assists to guide the offense. The pair of wins moved Western Illinois to 7–16 overall and 4–6 in OVC play.

  • 1,000 Club: Graduate Outside Hitter Keyana Cruse surpassed the 1,000 career kills mark earlier this season at the Billiken Invitational and also reached 1,000 career digs at home against Tennessee Tech.

Scouting the Lions

Lindenwood enters this weekend's contest under Will Condon, who is in his ninth season. The Lions finished the 2024 campaign with a 23-11 overall record and a 14-4 mark in conference play. With several returners and new faces on the roster, Lindenwood looks to build momentum in 2025 and keep its OVC standing.
