MACOMB, IL – The Western Illinois University Men's basketball program has announced its 2025-26 nonconference schedule, featuring a mix of nonconference matchups at home and on the road.

Western Illinois opens the season with a stretch of road nonconference games throughout November and December. The Leathernecks begin play on Monday, Nov. 3, traveling to Radford, followed by matchups at Iowa (Nov. 7), CSU Bakersfield (Nov. 11), and California Baptist (Nov. 14).

Western Illinois wraps up the month of November with a four-game homestand at Western Hall. The Leathernecks return to Macomb to face Coe College (Nov. 17), followed by a matchup with Coastal Carolina (Nov. 21). Western then hosts North Dakota (Nov. 23) before closing out the month against St. Ambrose (Nov. 30).

Western Illinois continues nonconference play in December with two road contests and one home matchup. The Leathernecks travel to Drake (Dec. 3) and North Dakota (Dec. 10) before returning to Macomb to host Hannibal-LaGrange (Dec. 13). The mix of home and away games provides another valuable stretch for Western to test itself against regional opponents before shifting focus toward conference play.

"We try to build a schedule that prepares us for the OVC, but the reality is we have to raise money through guarantee games. We'd love to play all Division 1 opponents, but that's not always possible. The non D1 games help us get home dates and keep our guys sharp as we keep building at Western Illinois, said Western Illinois University head men's basketball coach Chad Boudreau. 

Single-game tickets for the upcoming season will be on sale October 20th, with Season tickets available now.
