MACOMB, IL – Western Illinois women's basketball student-athlete Addi Brownfield has been accepted into the University of Missouri School of Medicine, joining the Class of 2030.
Brownfield, a biology major with minors in chemistry and psychology, earned admission with a 513 MCAT score (78th percentile) and a 3.98 cumulative GPA. Her academic record places her above the averages of Missouri's incoming class, which holds a 3.84 GPA and an average 511 MCAT score.
The University of Missouri School of Medicine received more than 3,000 applications for the Class of 2029, with fewer than 150 students ultimately matriculating. Brownfield's acceptance through the Early Decision program reflects her strong academic performance and preparation for medical study.
In addition to her accomplishments as a Division I student-athlete, Brownfield has worked as a home health aide and tutor, volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters, contributed to undergraduate research in the psychology department, served on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, and completed more than 100 hours of physician shadowing.
