Leatherneck Tennis Ends Season in OVC Quarterfinals

WIU falls to SIUE

Box Score ST. LOUIS – The Western Illinois women's tennis team had its season come to a close on Friday, falling to Southern Illinois-Edwardsville in the quarterfinals of the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament, 4-0 in St. Louis.

The Leathernecks end the season with a record of 2-16.

The Cougars two doubles matches to earn the point. In singles play, SIUE won three matches to end the day.

Western Illinois heads to the offseason, returning three of its top six to the lineup, including all three singles win leaders, Lara Rossetto Diniz de Souza, Paige Grice and Anna-Evelina Trush and its top doubles squad in Rossetto Diniz de Souza and Grice next year.
