MACOMB – With 14 practices behind them, the Leatherneck Football program will cap off their spring ball schedule on Friday night with the annual Bruce Craddock Memorial Spring Game.

Kickoff is slated for 6:00 p.m., with tailgating in Q Lot starting at 3:00 p.m. and running until 5:30 p.m.

"It's been a very productive 2024 spring football season for our program," said Head Coach Joe Davis. "There have been some bright spots throughout the spring positionally, and I'm very, very impressed with the dedication and work ethic our players have shown throughout this spring season. I'm very excited to put our efforts on display on Hanson Field for the community and alumni in the Bruce Craddock Memorial Spring Game."

The evening will begin with the annual Leatherneck Handshake between current football players, staff, and alumni. After that, the offense takes on the defense.

"I've said many times the alumni support here for our football program here is unparalleled in the country, so to show our players what it means to be a Leatherneck and how their experience here will significantly affect their lives is a positive experience for our entire program to go through," Davis said.

The game will feature a modified scoring system with two 15-minute quarters, followed by halftime. The second half will be situational football, featuring redzone and two-minute offenses with a running clock.

"I think you want the progression of teaching to show up," Davis said about what he'd like to see on Friday night. "Have we been able to get better at techniques from practice one to practice seven, and now onto practice 15, which Friday night is, plus the morale and camaraderie. To put that on display for the community is important for us."

Friday night is also a chance for season ticket holders to pick out their seats in person for the 2024 season.

As part of the Toyota Season Ticket Drive, fans who have purchased season tickets for the upcoming season can choose their physical seats for the Leathernecks' five home games this fall. Fans can buy season tickets for the upcoming year on Friday night at the game or online by clicking HERE.

The weekend wraps with the Leatherneck Football Golf Outing on Saturday. Registration and check-in will begin at 10:00 a.m., with an 11:00 a.m. shotgun start at Harry Mussatto Golf Course on the campus of Western Illinois University.
