Macomb, Ill- After clinching their first winning season since 2005, the Western Illinois Volleyball team will now look to climb the Ohio Valley Conference Standings as they have an opportunity to be in second place this week. The Leathernecks will hit the road to take on Lindenwood on Tuesday evening before hosting Morehead State on Thursday and Friday. The Lions currently sit in second place in the OVC with a conference record of 10-3, while WIU currently sits a game back in fourth place with a conference record of 9-4.Â
A win for the Leathernecks would create a three-team tie for second place, and if WIU wins in four sets or less over Lindenwood, they would take the second place spot as they already own the tiebreaker over Little Rock, who also sits at 10-4 in the OVC standings.Â
