MACOMB, Ill - The Western Illinois Men's soccer team added two recruits to their 2025 Class on National Signing Day. The Leathernecks bring in outside back JT Spalding and center back Isaiah Lamark.
Spading comes from Waukee, Iowa where he attended Waukee Northwest High School. In his Junior year, he was named the 2024 Northwest Boys Soccer Team MVP. He also won two championships playing club soccer with the VSA Rush, winning the U19 US Club Soccer National Championship and being on the VSA Rush Club State championship team. Spalding was a 4x academic-all conference member as well.
Lamark also comes from Iowa, where he attended Theodore Roosevelt High School in Des Moines. In his Junior year, he won first-team all state honors as well as first team all-conference and was named to the all tournament team. He has played club soccer for five years for FC United where he won regionals with his team as well as being the national-runner up. In the 2023-2024 season, Lamark won a championship with Johnston High School.
The two recruits will bring in championship experience to a very young roster and will both be graduating in May of 2025.
