MACOMB -- The Western Illinois women's tennis team faces a busy schedule with a trio of road matches this week.

The Leathernecks head a couple hours east on Wednesday, taking on Illinois State. Then, after a day off, Western Illinois heads south to visit St. Louis University on Friday and Lindenwood on Saturday.

The Leathernecks dropped their last match, 7-0 to Bradley, falling to 4-5 this season.

The Redbirds come into Wednesday's match 6-4 overall and off a 9-0 win over Washington University. Play is scheduled to begin at noon.

The Billikens are 7-3 but have dropped their last two matches, falling 4-0 to Western Kentucky and 4-3 to Southern Illinois-Edwardsville. Play is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m.

Lindenwood is 1-2 but has not played since a 7-0 win over Missouri Baptist on February 17. This is the first all-time matchup between the two programs. Play is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.

After the busy week, Western Illinois has a few days off before returning to the road to take on Northeastern State (Oklahoma) next Thursday and Summit League foe, Oral Roberts next Saturday.
