Last Week | Western Illinois headed down to Martin, Tennessee, for the Skyhawk Invitational. The Leathernecks went 1-2 on the weekend, dropping matches to Arkansas State (25-20, 9-25, 28-26, 25-27, 12-15) and host UT Martin (20-25, 12-25, 21-25). The Leathernecks picked up their first victory against Alabama A&M (25-21, 25-20, 25-23).

Young Talent | Western Illinois underclassman shined at the Skyhawk Invitational. Sophomore Brittany Wulf earned All-Tournament honors. She led the team in kills (37), service aces (11), and digs (30) on the weekend. Grace Nichols led the team in blocks with eight, with freshman Grace Kremer having six.

Scouting Eastern Illinois | Eastern Illinois comes in after dropping their last three matches at the Windy City Invitational. The Panthers lost in straight sets to the University of Illinois-Chicago and Pacific. They battled to five sets with Chicago State. The Panthers, are led by Giovana Larregui Lopez, who leads the team with 60 kills.

What's Next | Western Illinois heads south to New Orleans for the New Orleans Invitational on Friday (Sept. 9) and Saturday (Sept. 10).
