Kickoff | After it's bye week, the Western Illinois women's soccer team concludes the three straight road trips at Omaha this weekend.

Break out the Brooms | WIU took all six points in a weekend sweep of Oral Roberts. Amy Andrews scored back-to-back goals and Jenna Lundgren earned two assists on the trip.

Senior Standout | Senior Megan Rasmussen has earned the starting spot between the pipes for the Leathernecks midway through the season and has shined. Last week, she earned her first career weekly honor with being named The Summit League Defensive Player of the Week and has totaled 28 saves in her last six starts.

On the offensive side of the ball, Jenna Lundgren has notched three assists in the last four games to rank ninth in the Summit.

Two Cups of Tea | Amy Andrews scored her second career multi-goal game in the series opener at South Dakota and is the team-leader in goals (2). She added two more at ORU and leads the team with four and eight points.

The Attack | Five Necks have fired double-digit shots this season - Andrews (21), Lundgren (20), Natalie Nagle (17),  Zoe Clarke (16), and Bridget Schuler (11).

A List of First | The 2021 season has marked a collection of career firsts. Nagle scored her first career goal vs. KC for the first WIU goal of the season.

Emma Brinkmann, Angie Knies, Ella Kiely, Maddie Hasken, Isabel Navas Rodriguez, Megan Rasmussen, Bailey Burlingham, and Audrey Narine have all made their first career start.

Scouting the Opponent | Omaha sits in third with 24 points at 7-4-3… the Mavs were recently swept at Denver… Sophia Green is fourth in the Summit League with five goals… last season WIU shutout Omaha 1-0 in Macomb.

Back of the Net | WIU returns 100 percent of their goal scorers from last season, led by Amy Andrews, who had a team-leading six goals and wrote her name into the individual match-record for points (4) and goals (2) in a game vs. UIC. She now sits tied seventh all-time for game-winning goals with three.

Preseason Recognition | Defenders Lauryn Peters and Bridget Schuler were both named 2021 Summit League Preseason Players to Watch. The duo anchored four shutouts and started all 18 games, and played all 1660 minutes last year. The pair have continued the tradition and have missed a minute so far this season.

Up Next | Western Illinois concludes the season next weekend at home versus South Dakota State (April 9 & 11). Both games will be streamed on Leatherneck All-Access.
