Leathernecks Fall to Roos

Team heads to Macomb for next game on Saturday (Oct. 30).

KANSAS CITY, MO. – The Western Illinois University Fighting Leatherneck men's soccer team was in action on Saturday (Oct. 23), falling 1-0 to the Kansas City Roos at Durwood Soccer Stadium in Kansas City, Mo.
 
15 different Leathernecks played in the game, with six players playing the full 90 minutes and three players recording at least one shot. Ronaldo Joseph made his second straight appearance off the bench and Damian Rincon appeared for the eighth-straight game. Alex Flowers saved seven of the 20 shots he faced, and the team combined to draw 17 Kansas City fouls.
 
The Leathernecks will return to Macomb for their next match against Eastern Illinois. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
