Last Time Out | A new member of the 1,000 point club kicked off the three-game homestand for the Western Illinois women's basketball (8-9, 2-2) in 79-68 victory over Purdue Fort Wayne (4-12, 0-3) Thursday (Jan. 9)

Olivia Kaufmann accepted membership into the 1,000 point club with a three-pointer at 9:15 in the first quarter en route to her third double-double of the season. Purdue Fort Wayne searching for its first Summit League victory climbed back and made it a three-point game (66-63) late in the fourth. While the purple and gold scored 46 points in the paint, it was the three-ball that tamed the Mastodon comeback. Elizabeth Lutz banked in a three followed by lockdown defense held the visitors to five more points to secure the league dub.

Spark Plug Sam | After sidelined with an injury last season, Sam Pryor has been a spark plug coming off the bench for the Leathernecks this season. At NDSU she hit the last-minute shot to force overtime and followed up with the game-winning trey. Pryor leads the team in three-pointers made (28) and is averaging 8.8 points per game in league play.

Road to 1k | Olivia Kaufmann scored 19 against Purdue Fort Wayne Thursday (Jan. 9) to become the 19th Leatherneck to join the 1,000 point club. She joins three of her former teammates who have achieved the honor - Morgan Blumer (1,000), Emily Clemens (1,699) and Taylor Higginbotham (1,806).
