Leathernecks Non-League Streak Ends at Bradley

Western returns to Summit League action Friday.

PEORIA, Ill. – Western Illinois baseball saw its non-league winning streak snapped in a 10-0 decision at Bradley Tuesday (April 2).  

Starting pitchers on each side had their way inside Dozer Park, where they yielded three combined hits through four innings. The scoreless affair lasted five frames until a sacrifice fly brought home the Braves' leadoff hitter and they padded their lead to 5-0 in the next frame. 

Alex Dorethy's day ended with a career-high six strikeouts in five full innings on the mound. He gave up three hits and one run before Jackson Gray, Kyle Rosenfeld, Austin Emanuel, and Justin Foy made their appearances. 

Western returns to Alfred D. Boyer Stadium this weekend for a Summit League series with Oral Roberts. The set begins Friday at 3 p.m.
