Tip-Off | The Western Illinois women's basketball heads to Drake on Sunday (Nov. 24) and then returns home for Elementary Day against Missouri Baptist (Nov. 26).

Elementary Day | On Tuesday (Nov. 26), WIU Athletics will be hosting Elementary Day where over 1,000 elementary students will cheer on the Leathernecks inside Western Hall. Admission is free for all fans, so take an extended lunch, bring a friend, coworker, or your whole staff, and cheer on WIU. We'll also be attempting to break a world record for the most number of people flossing (the dance) at one time.

Series History vs. Drake | The Bulldogs own the all-time series lead 24-1 with Drake winning the last six matchups. Both schools have played constantly from 1980-1995 then resuming in 2006. The last time the Leathernecks defeated Drake was in 1992, 87-78.

Series History vs. Missouri Baptist | Tuesday's game will be the inaugural meeting between both sides.

Last Time Out | The Leathernecks struggled to score while Bradley couldn't miss in an 84-39 victory and the first loss of the season for WIU inside Western Hall.

Kyra Washington woke up the Leathernecks offensive midway through the third quarter to end the 17-0 Bradley run. The senior drilled back-to-back threes to cut into the 62-19 lead at 4:42, but the Braves didn't miss a step and cruised to a thirty-five point win.

Kaufmann's Nomination | Olivia Kaufmann was tabbed to the All-Summit League Second Team prior to the 2019 campaign. The senior guard is entering her final season with the Leathernecks, after averaging 16 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.8 assists a year ago. She posted a season-high 28 points against North Dakota on February 1, 2019.

Senior Season | The WIU roster holds four seniors this season with Avery Hamm, Kyra Washington, Annabel Graettinger and Kaufmann.

The New Faces in the Hall | The Purple and Gold welcomed three new players to the 2019-20 squad in freshmen Alissa Dins and Kennedy Flanagan along with Evan Zars, a transfer from Saint Louis.

Challenging Start |
Western Illinois continues in the tradition of stacking a highly competitive slate to start the season, including Drake and Mizzou, who both made NCAA appearances in the 2018-19 season as well as Big Ten opponent Purdue.

Scouting the Bulldogs |
Currently ranked No. 3 in the Mid-Major Poll, Darke is also receiving votes in both the Associated Press Poll and USA Today/WBCA Coaches Poll.  The Bulldogs are 3-1 so far with the lone loss coming to the hands of South Dakota in overtime last Wednesday (Nov. 13).

Scouting the Spartans | Missouri Baptist travels to Western Hall for the first time in program history with an 0-3 mark this season. Tionne Taylor sets the pace for the offensive attack by averaging 17 points per game.

Up Next | Western Illinois gears up for the road to take on back-to-back in-state rivals in Illinois State on Wednesday (Dec. 4) and Chicago State Sunday (Dec. 7).
