MACOMB, Ill.— Western Illinois plays host to Drake at John MacKenzie Alumni Field Sunday (Sept. 24) for a 1 p.m. matchup live on ESPN3. The Leathernecks look to continue its momentum gained off a record-breaking performance against Chicago State.

LAST TIME OUT:
It was a record-setting day for the Western Illinois women's soccer program Sunday (Sept. 17), as the Leathernecks picked up their first win of the season with a 9-1 triumph over Chicago State at John MacKenzie Alumni Field. Western Illinois (1-7-0) scored a program-record nine goals, breaking the previous record of eight against Arkansas Pine-Bluff on Aug. 24, 2012. Within five minutes of the match beginning, a Chicago State red card put the Cougars down a player for the remainder of the match.

-Nine goals are the most in program history for a single match… the previous record was eight against Arkansas Pine Bluff (Aug. 24, 2012)… Western's 44 shots are the most in program history… the previous record was 42 at Jackson State (Sept. 3, 2012)… WIU's seven assists are third-all time in program history for a single match… Their 21 shots on goal are tied for third all-time in program history… This was the Leathernecks' biggest win since an 8-0 victory over Arkansas Pine Bluff (Aug. 24, 2012)…

-Bianca Romay and Emily Bollman both had two goals and one assist… That ties for third all-time in program history for most points by an individual player…

-Natalie Nagle's two assists are tied for the most in program history for a single match…
