The Leathernecks will play their second regular season match.

MACOMB, Ill. – The Western Illinois women's soccer team plays its second straight regular season match on the road at Chicago State Sunday, Aug. 21 at 1 p.m.

A LOOK AT THE LEATHERNECKS:
The Leathernecks (0-1) dropped a 3-0 decision at Indiana State Aug. 19 in their season opener. In that match Bianca Romay and Mary Anderson both tallied two shots each. Western Illinois will now shift its focus to the Chicago State Cougars.

SCOUTING THE COUGARS:
Chicago State is coming off a 6-1 defeat at SIU Edwardsville Aug. 19. Head coach Tony Tommasi is in his third year with the program, totaling a 1-36-1 record. The Cougars' roster consists of 12 freshmen, nine sophomores, three juniors and one senior. Chicago State returns 12 letterwinners, which include six starters and five upperclassmen. This will be the Cougars' third season as a program (first season in 2014). The team lost 14 total players from last season, but welcomes 11. In 2015, Chicago State finished 0-19 and 0-10 in WAC play.
