Leathernecks Prep For Milwaukee At Home

WIU looks to extend home winning streak vs. Panthers on Tuesday

MACOMB, Ill. –  The Western Illinois men's soccer team plays host to Milwaukee on Tuesday, Oct. 3 at 4 p.m. The match will take place at John MacKenzie Alumni Field, and will be broadcast live on ESPN3.

A LOOK AT THE LEATHERNECKS:
Western sits at 5-4-1 overall with a 1-0 mark in Summit League play. The Leathernecks are coming off a 1-0 win at home over Green Bay after a goal by Jacob Bevan. The senior tops The Summit League with seven goals this season, and is tied for first in points (16).

Fernando Pacheco ranks second on team in points (9) with three goals and three assists. Daniel Collins follows with two goals and three assists with seven points.

Goalkeeper Tim Hansen ranks first in The Summit League in save percentage (.824) and goals against (6) this season. He has 28 saves on 66 shots faced this season, with three shutouts. Hansen is 5-2 overall this season.

SCOUTING THE PANTHERS:
Milwaukee is also 5-4-1 overall and currently riding a three-match winning streak. In their most recent contest, the Panthers defeated Detroit (2-1) in a Horizon League match at home. Francesco Saporito leads the team with 11 points on three goals and five assists. Freshman Evan Conway ranks second on the squad with nine points on four goals with one assists.

At the helm of the program is Kris Kelderman, who is in his seventh season as head coach of the Panthers.

HOME STAND:
