Western Travels to Fort Wayne to Face Mastodons

The Leathernecks and Mastodons are set to meet on Friday (Oct. 17) at 6 p.m.

MACOMB, Ill. - Fighting Leatherneck women's soccer looks to even up its Summit League record when they travel to Fort Wayne on Friday (Oct. 17). The Leathernecks (2-11, 1-2) are scheduled to play the Mastodons at 6 p.m. at Hefner Soccer Complex in Fort Wayne, Ind. 

Western Illinois is coming off of a 1-0 loss to Denver on Sunday (Oct. 12). Western is currently in seventh place in The Summit League with five matches remaining.

A LOOK AT THE MASTODONS: Fort Wayne remains winless in Summit League play following a 3-1 loss to IUPUI... Currently on a four-game winless streak , the 'Dons drew with current league-leaders South Dakota State on Oct. 10... Kallianne Mogler has scored two goals this year along with four assists... Mogler leads the team with 8 points... Five Mastodons have scored two goals this season including Mogler... Sam Pavlika has started every match for the Mastodons... SERIES HISTORY: The Leathernecks have won seven of the ten all-time meetings against the Mastodons... Western Illinois won six of the first seven before losses in 2011 and 2013... Last season, Fort Wayne defeated Western Illinois 1-0 in Macomb.
