MACOMB, Ill. - Western Illinois women's tennis dropped it's midweek match 6-0 to the Braves of Bradley on Wednesday (April 18). The loss brings the Leathernecks to an overall record of 1-17 in the 2012 season.
Ashley Rettger at No. 1, Jessica Theobald at No. 3, Megan Pazdernick at No. 4 and Juliette Schwartz at No. 5 singles each tallied a point in their respective matches but were ultimately defeated. Jessica Callahan was held scoreless at the No. 2 position and the No. 6 match was not played.
In doubles action, the No. 1 duo of Rettger and Callahan fell 8-2. The Braves recorded an 8-0 win at No. 2 and a default win at No. 3 doubles to round out scoring.
The Leathernecks have their final match of the season on Friday (April 20) at SIUE in Edwardsville, Ill. First serve is set for 3:30 p.m.
