MACOMB, Ill. – The Western Illinois men's soccer team will take to the pitch against Bradley in its final non-league contest of the season at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 2.
The Fighting Leathernecks (3-7-6) will look to snap a four-match winless streak when they travel to Shea Stadium to take on the Braves in their second to last match of the season. Western picked up a 1-0 upset over then No. 17 Bradley when the teams last met in regular-season action in 2008.
The Braves (7-8-2) are coming off a 1-0 loss at Missouri State on Saturday, snapping a three-match unbeaten streak. The Braves had recorded wins over Evansville and Central Arkansas while recording a 2-2 draw against Eastern Illinois in their previous three matches. Bradley was ranked as the No. 10 team in the Midwest Region in the latest NSCAA poll.

Western Illinois defeated then No. 17 Bradley when the teams last met in the regular-season during the 2008 campaign. Darryl Odom found Martin Browne, Jr. with a pass in the 95th minute and Browne, Jr. knocked in the golden-goal for one of the biggest upsets in Leatherneck history.
Three current Western Illinois players (Odom, Cosimo Patano and James Raabe) played in the match and former Leatherneck Stephen Paterson made two saves to complete the shutout of the Braves. Western did not allow Bradley to record a shot on goal after the first half.
