I feel so sorry for our ladies. They have worked so hard the work is not showing the rewards.?Indiana State (3-4-0) scored early in the first and second halves to take a 2-0 lead. Amanda Gogel scored in the seventh minute to give the Sycamores a 1-0 lead and then Podolski scored just 3:16 into the second half putting Indiana State up 2-0.Wisner scored the only goal for the Westerwinds that was actually knocked into the goal by Western. Her goal came at the 63:34 mark off of a cross by
Liz Remes. Western tied the game when
Liz Remes? cross kissed off the Sycamores? Jennifer Milward and bounced into the Indiana State goal.?We pummeled them (ISU) with so many shots,? said Sherry. ?We hit everything. We hit the crossbar and the post and nothing would go in. They caught us early in the first and second halves. We just wanted to work to tie it up and force overtime, but when we scored the second goal we relaxed and they punished us for that.?Western more than doubled the Sycamores in shots with 19 (nine on goal). Indiana State took eight shots with five on goal.?We can?t do anything to work harder,? said Sherry. ?They have worked so hard and they have earned a win. I pray that something will come to us soon.?Rachel Rudzis shut down the Western offense with seven saves for ISU.
