Samir Almhiemid, Brennan Bladel, Seth Brady, Chance McQuigg and Chris Neaveill were all honored for finishing in the top-3 in an event at The Summit League Championships. Neaveill won both the 100-IM (50.26) and 100-fly (47.52) preliminaries at the Championships before taking second in the finals of each event. His 50.37 mark in the 100-IM came within one-tenth of a second of winning the event, while he touched second in the 100-fly (47.91) by less than a half-second.
The 2015-16 Leathernecks saw five student-athletes named All-League during The Summit League Championships, with five school records falling and 25 new top-10 times in the program's record books. JD Furr and Lizzie Hollopeter were named Academic All-League, with Furr being joined with Samir Almhiemid, Chance McQuigg, Chris Neaveill and Tyler Neaveill as All-League performers at The Championships. Chris Neaveill punctuated his performance by becoming the first Western Illinois swimmer since 2007 to become a league champion by racing to a 47.40 touch in the 100-fly.

The sophomore's 100 butterfly time of 48.02 seconds was an NCAA B-Cut time, which put him in contention to compete at the NCAA Championships. Over the course of the four-day meet, Western Illinois registered 27 top-10 times in program history.Â

2012-13 saw Matt Abercrombie, Jonathan Bond, Jeremy Grogg, Tyler Neaveill and Dylon Rykosky earn All-Summit League Team honors for their performances at the 2013 Summit League Championship.
