Emily Clemens has been named the Hampton Inn Scholar Athlete of the Week after posting a career high 27 points and leading the team with seven assists and four steals in the game. The Fighting Leathernecks would go on to win over the NDSU Bision 94-82.

Clemens averaging 29.2 mintues per game, 10.8 ppg, 3.7 apg and 2.4 spg in the game shows the work she has put in the last three years truly does pay off. With only five total points in the first half and the Leathernecks down by seven at the half, Celmens would bounce back with a phenominal second half. Western was able to put up 63 points along with Clemens scoring 22 points in 20 minutes of play.

Clemens, a pre-business major in her junior year, has had an outstanding academic career with a 3.6 GPA.
