Tetsuei Okusaki joined the WIU sports medicine staff as an athletic trainer in August 2025 and is primarily responsible for the Men’s Soccer and Tennis teams.
Okusaki earned his master's degree in athletic training from the University of Central Florida in 2025. He completed his immersive experience at UCF with the Tennis teams and Spirit team. Tetsuei also gained experience at the U.S Tennis Association (USTA) National Campus as a student athletic trainer.
Okusaki earned his bachelor's degree in human health science from Kyoto University, Japan and completed a national occupational therapist license. While earning his degree he also remained a competitive collegiate tennis player at Kyoto University.
Okusaki is originally from Hiroshima, Japan. He likes to watch soccer and baseball, and to play the piano.
