Justin Evans

Justin Evans joins the Western Illinois Women's Soccer coaching staff as an Assistant Coach in his first year with the program.

Evans began playing soccer at age five and went on to serve as team captain at Brookhaven High School, earning First Team All-City honors. He continued his playing career at the collegiate level with the University of Rio Grande before transitioning into coaching.

On the coaching education side, Evans holds the USSF C License and is currently pursuing his USSF B License, expected to be obtained on June 30, 2026. He also holds the United Soccer Coaches Advanced National Diploma, Level 3 Goalkeeping Diploma, and Foundations of Coaching Diploma.

Evans brings a wealth of coaching experience across multiple levels. Most recently he served as Assistant Coach for Men's Soccer at Ohio Dominican University from 2023 to 2026, while also serving as Coach, Goalkeeper Director, and Sponsorship and Tournament Coordinator for Barcelona United Soccer Club during the same period. Prior to that he was Head Coach for Varsity Boys Soccer at Rock Hill High School, a Student Assistant Coach for Women's Soccer at Shawnee State University, and spent six seasons at Whetstone High School coaching both the JV and Varsity Boys Soccer programs.

Evans earned his Bachelor's degree in Sport Management from Shawnee State University and his Master's degree in Sport Management from Ohio Dominican University.
